The Video Conferencing Hardware Package is a high quality yet affordable way to completely outfit a single location for video conferencing. Take advantage of this pre-packaged system and you will find that video conferencing can save time, money, and the personal hassle associated with in-person meetings, training and travel.
**Please note: Video conferencing software is not included. Video conferencing sofware is required for a complete system. This video conference equipment is compatible with software such as Webex.
The Sony EVI-D70 is our recommended camera for a video conferencing set-up. In comparison to typical webcams, the EVID70 is ideal for use in small to large size conference rooms. The EVI-D70 offers pan-tilt-zoom functionality which allows for complete room coverage and also offers multiple PTZ preset ability. With an 18x optical zoom lens and a faster pan/tilt mechanism, this camera is ideal for video conferencing applications. The S-Video cable included in this package connects the EVI-D70 to the video capture device of your choice: Startech SVID2USB2 (ideal for laptops or wherever connection via USB port is required); Viewcast OSPREY-210 (requires available PCI slot); Viewcast OSPREY-230 (for low-profile computers with a PCI slot); and Viewcast OSPREY-240 (for low-profile computers with a PCIe slot). The video capture device converts the analog video signal from the camera to a digital video signal.
As an optional upgrade to the EVI-D70, Sony has recently released the EVI-D80. The EVID80 offers higher resolution (550 TV lines) and better low light capabilities compared to the EVID70.
The EVI camera can stand alone on a tabletop or any flat surface. For your convenience, we offer an optional wall mount or tripod in this package as well.
This package also includes an optional audio component since the EVI camera does not have built-in audio capability. The Revolabs xTag is ideal for conferences in which there is only one speaker. This wearable clip-on microphone is wireless thus eliminating the restriction of being tethered to the computer. The speaker can move freely around the room up to 20 meters from the base station. The Phoenix Audio DUET EXECUTIVE speakerphone complements the EVI camera with its daisy-chaining capabilities. Two or more speakerphone units can be daisy-chained together for complete room coverage. The Phoenix Audio Quattro USB (MT 301) Speakerphone is designed for large conference room settings. The Quattro uses all of its four internal microphones concurrently with a “beam forming” technology giving it superior extended audio pickup and audio broadcasting range. All three audio options connect to your computer via a USB port.
